Graham Potter, soon to be announced as West Ham’s head coach, will have a say in who the club signs during the upcoming transfer window.

This revelation comes directly from a Claret & Hugh source who spoke to us within the last 30 minutes.

When asked if the incoming Hammers boss had identified squad deficiencies or would provide suggestions for signings, the response was clear:
“YES, managers ALWAYS have done and will continue to have input on signings.”

Additionally, we understand from a separate source that Potter has already provided input on West Ham’s January transfer targets. Negotiations over two days reportedly included discussions about the composition of the Hammers squad moving forward.

Whilst at this time, C&H don’t have any indication which positions or areas the new gaffer is prioritising, the club are continuing to look at midfield options.

Even though the last few days have been incredibly busy for everyone behind the scenes at the London Stadium, it’s full steam ahead in terms of transfer activity.

I’m genuinely excited about GP taking over. Let’s hope he’s given the autonomy to shape the team and obviously make suggestions as to people coming/leaving the club. I hope the board backs him financially and we turn this mess around.
Remember 2 wins and we’ll be singing “we’re massive everywhere we go “….
We need to get behind him from the start.
