West Ham director of football Tim Steidten is set to remain in America and continue to negotiate for players from Florida.

Claret & Hugh has spoken to a top-ranking West Ham official this morning, who confirmed that Steidten has not travelled back to the UK. Our top source said, “Tim is doing business from the USA, negotiating with many clubs and agents over many players.”

It has been pointed out that with so much interest in so many players in multiple countries, there is little point in Steidten traveling until deals are close to being finalised.

There is currently open dialogue between West Ham and Manchester United over the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Man U are also in the US for their pre-season tour but are stationed in California, which is a 5-hour flight away and in a different time zone.

The Hammers are said to be working night and day in an effort to sign players; however, negotiations have been described as ‘very tough.’

I’m starting to think this as well.
It’s the majority owner that is the problem and he hasn’t changed his approach to running a footy club since Jesus was in sandals.
Let’s look how Brighton are doing it and bingo we are a professional outfit.

It’s great Tim doing the negotiations. The problem comes when Sully has to sign them off. Nothing changes.

  • Pongo says:

Our transfer business was done a month ago there will be no more signings or sales as no one wants our dross, and sullivan wants to bank the cash and keep the money, he is tighter than ants arse.

It would be interesting to see where Duran was on the initial Forwards list. I can’t imagine he’d be in the top four or five, given that his attitude is well known.

  • Alan Digweed says:

Maybe the obvious answer to the re-occurring problem is the Profit and
Sustainability rules, we cannot pay vast amounts for players that some
other clubs do, we have to cut our cloth accordingly.

    Just can’t believe anything that’s said anymore…
We are just a complete mess again..there is no plan..its the scatter gun approach…..so sad I thought all this would stop with moyes …but the problem goes deeper ….
And it’s so obvious now it’s the owners who are the problem..because no matter who the management is ..its always the same

really though, you actually have no idea what’s happening. neither do i, or anyone, for that matter. and yet everyday, i see all our moaning fans like they’ve never seen a transfer window before. when the season begins and we have all these new players in (or most of them), you’ll all forget how much you whinged and will say how you knew Tim and Loppy would come through. that’s how i remember about every transfer window going

Only if you believe all of the hogwash being posted by the pundits and so called insiders

  • Mark J says:

I can’t be only one who thinks we were never interested in mazraoui but used him as a ploy to persuade MU to sell us Bissaka OR Mazraoui never intended to come to us and the huge agents fee was put in place to put us off so he could get his preferredMU move.

  • LORD ROBERT VENOUR says:

He’s on his jollies not looking for players
