EXCLUSIVE

David Sullivan has revealed that despite a few players carrying niggling injuries the Irons will be putting out their strongest side possible tomorrow (Sat).

The chairman  aims to ensure the club pay the competition the utmost respect but admits they won’t be taking a chance with any player who is carrying a niggle.

With away fixtures at Bournemouth and Newcastle coming up next week the chairman declared that the three games were all seriously important and that no risks could be taken.

Speaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh on the eve of the clash against Wolves, he told us: ” We have a few players missing with small niggling injuries.

“If they play tomorrow we risk them missing Tuesday or Saturday, but other than that  we really want to go as far as we can in the FA Cup and will be putting out our strongest possible side.

“The board and the manager  know how the supporters love the tournament and we’ll be treating it with the utmost respect and with a bit of luck in the draw we hope to go a long way in it.”

I second that 32! I’d love to see both those things happen. I would also like to see song and Valencia given starts to bring fitness up. We’ve got a big enough squad so lets use it! Randolf – Jenkinson – oxford – Reid/Tonks – Hendrie – Song – Obiang – Zarate – Valencia – Jelavic would be my team. Give the others a rest or appearances from the bench with the game against Bournemouth 2 days later we need to rotate to minimize further injuries

I hope he gives Oxford a chance at CB and Obiang gets to play a full game.
