Earlier today, Claret & Hugh exclusively revealed that striker Niclas Fullkrug would be flying back to the UK to attend Sunday’s West Ham vs Manchester United Premier League clash.
The news came from the highest-placed sources at the London Stadium, who later clarified the update. While Fullkrug will be present for the high-pressure EPL fixture, the club still has no idea when he’ll return from injury to actually play.
The German international travelled back to his homeland earlier this week for treatment in a bid to heal his ongoing injury, but it seems West Ham are uncertain whether the treatment was successful.
Speaking earlier this evening, the high-placed Hammers source was keen to temper expectations, saying, “We have no idea when he will be available to return to play.”
This statement contrasts with Tim Steidten’s close associate in the press-Florian Plettenberg, who provided a more optimistic update, suggesting that Fullkrug could be set to resume training within the coming days.
Reading between the lines, I’d expect a November 25th return against Newcastle as the best-case scenario.
Sorry MARTIN I was trying to be kind to GONZO, we certainly don’t need you to completely miss the point with your pennywort.
I believe that you are still being far to optimistic , based on little or no evidence, don’t you think that this is really demoralising for your readers? GONZO.
Sometimes the reality is demoralising . We don’t create it, Ian. We hear it and tell it.Sorry if that is not always uplifting! We are Hammers fans too.
Wow, thanks for that exculsive Gonzo.

Hardly an update. So the mystery source knows as much as what we do. Great.
