West Ham United have rubbished claims that former manager David Moyes could return to the club for a third stint.

Reports had suggested Moyes might be interested in a temporary role at the London Stadium should the West Ham board decide to part ways with Julen Lopetegui.

However, Claret and Hugh have been informed by a top source at the club this afternoon that there is no chance of the Scotsman returning to the Hammersā€™ dugout. Furthermore, it is also understood that Moyes himself has no interest in making a return to East London.

Speaking exclusively to C&H, the senior West Ham insider dismissed the rumours as ā€œmade up.ā€

Speculation on social media had suggested an interim position might be offered on a six-month contract while the club searches for a permanent head coach in the summer. While that scenario could still be possible, it has been made clear that David Moyes will not be taking on the role.

Well the bullsh*t machine is fully loaded, all the pigs have been refuelled and are on the runway ready for take off, so let’s start churning out the names, more ridiculous the better. I heard a photo of Ron Greenwood is ready to take over, let’s go!

  • Frank Reed says:

Thereā€™s so much nonsense going on right now, Kevin Nolan, please behave, difficult times, need to get a few results together, this manager is probably not the right fit right now but maybe this month sees us move away from danger

    • Andy says:

Maybe. We are now on game 15 in the league and weā€™ve only had 2 good performances this season.

  • B says:

Not a bad shout to get Carrick in. Nolan as Assistant. Let them work with Noble to bring through the best academy players. Bring in Joe Cole in an advisory role. These are the boys who understand the West Ham way.

    • Matt says:

Joe Cole was part of the ā€œbe careful what you wish forā€ brigade.

Punditry is one thing, having an influence on how to set up a team is completely another.

Gary Neville is a classic example of this as the Valencia fans will 100% testify to.

We need a motivational progressive coach that has experience and has turned around players that underperformed in a relegation scenario and then transform them in to a solid team that can qualify for Europe.

Sebastien Hoeness is exactly that guy!

    • John says:

Noble is just a token ambassador of the club who never got his coaching badges. Top captain and player for the club, bit like Billy Bonds but that doesnā€™t mean he has the credentials to steer our club upwards and onwards.

  • Tom says:

If the club needs a caretaker manager when they sack Loppy till the end of the season. Go for Nolan ex west ham Captain knows West Ham through and through. Nolan with Noble / Keen could work.

    • Andy says:

That is too huge a gamble and Sullivan thought Hurzeler was too risky. Never going to happen and neither should it.

McKenna would be a better choice if we canā€™t get Hoeness.

  • Kenny Irons says:

Well, I know, as we all do, that nothing is past this club ( in a negative sense) but Moyes coming back would have meant Sullivan going to The Tower !
Iā€™m still worried who weā€™ll eventually get, though, have no confidence whatsoever in the hierarchy at this club !

    • Andy says:

Nobody has any confidence in Sullivan. He gets it wrong so badly and his decisions and indecision as a Chairman are staring everyone in the face.

Only club that have a data driven DoF but Sully ignores the recruitment team to hire unsuitable coaches that then influence signing players that are not Premiership ready.

  • Jimbo says:

Carrick all day. He will get us out of the Championship next yearšŸ˜

    • Matt says:

He didnā€™t get Promoted last year and still has a lot to prove before he can be considered to be a serious candidate for the job.

We need a progressive coach that knows how to escape relegation and then transform our team to qualify for Europe.

That man is called Sebastien Hoeness!

  • Matt says:

Now get this top spice to dismiss being linked with the has been, not suitable and waste of money Allegri please šŸ™
