West Ham have quashed all rumours that Raheem Sterling will be moving to the London Stadium, according to an exclusive conversation with Claret & Hugh this afternoon.
Chelsea and Sterling’s representatives appear to have been actively seeking a new club for the former England wide-man. Reports began circulating this morning that the player was interested in a transfer move to a London club, which naturally led to West Ham being mentioned as a potential destination.
Claret & Hugh reached out to our top source at the club this morning to inquire about the truth behind these stories, and the response was unequivocal: “No, we have loads of wingers and no money,” the Hammers insider told us.
Sterling was left out of Chelsea’s squad for their Premier League season opener, which led his representatives to take to social media in a plea for ‘clarity’ on the wide-man’s situation.
It seems Sterling has now received clarification and is surplus to requirements. However, it’s clear that he won’t be joining West Ham.
No money means no striker coming then before window closes. Could be a big mistake.
Perhaps, the remaining money is allocated for a new striker! Let’s be positive. We have a good squad this season.
What remaining money though? 😉
Should have paid &40 million for Duran when we had the chance !
Presumably your ‘top source’ rolled their eyes and blocked any future calls from you after being asked this question
I never thought for one minute that Sterling would be heading to West Ham. They actually don’t need him at any price.
Wouldn’t want him , bloody drama queen , thrown his toys out the pram. Idiot so up his own a**e .
