West Ham currently have a list of players available for sale as long as your armâand the most difficult to shift, it seems, are the midfielders.
With Guido RodrĂguez, Edson Ălvarez, TomĂĄĹĄ SouÄek, James Ward-Prowse, Andy Irving, Lucas PaquetĂĄ, Freddie Potts and Lewis Orford all on the books, at least four could be on their way out this summer.
However, the club have found incoming offers few and far between, which is proving a problem given theyâre actively trying to recruit a new midfielder.
Lewis Orford is expected to leave on a season-long loan to continue his development, while itâs safe to say Freddie Potts is not for sale. As for the rest, West Ham would consider the right offersâmany are unofficially available, though the hope remains that Lucas PaquetĂĄ will stay.
One player long expected to leave this summer was TomĂĄĹĄ SouÄek, who had drawn interest from Everton and Leeds United. But talk of the clubâs second-top goalscorer departing has gone strangely quiet.

Former boss David Moyes won’t take Soucek to Everton
This morning, Claret & Hugh spoke directly with a source close to the player and were told that SouÄek is â99% certainâ to stay at West Ham.
âTomĂĄĹĄ loves the club and the West Ham fans. He wants to stay. There have been no new contract talks,â the source confirmed.
SouÄek has two years remaining on his current deal and is keen to extend his stay in East London.
While David Moyes’ Everton appear to have cooled their interest, Leeds United were still believed to be keen. Unfortunately for Daniel Farke and the Yorkshire club, SouÄek has no desire to swap the The Irons for Elland Road.
So it seems Big Sou is staying, while Irving, RodrĂguez and, to a lesser extent, Ălvarez remain firmly on the âfor saleâ list.
Hate to think where our midfield goals would have come from without Big Tom. He runs twice as long a distance as anyone else. Boy does he put a shift in. Which means despite his turning thirty he can still do a job. Glad heâs staying.
Out of those 7 names it looks the only 2 that are on the way out are Rodriguez and Irving.
Irving has showed some improvement but is still thought to be a mediocre squad player.
That just leaves Rodriguez who is a high priority for exit.
Keep Alvarez FFS!
I, for one, am very happy to read that Tomas Soucek is 99% certain to stay a Hammer. After all, he bleeds claret and blue and has suffered several cuts and bruises in combat for the badge to prove it. His heart belongs to West Ham. Good on you Tomas!
Could not have put it better myself, Hammeroo. My sentiments entirely. Tomas is just not interested in working elsewhere.
With you completely. Not elegant but incredibly hard working and tough.
100%, he is not the most elegant or flamboyant, but you can’t knock his work ethic or his love for the club and supporters.
I am also pleased to hear he is staying with us, we definitely need to shift some players like Rodriguez he is useless so definitely needs to be sold, I would like to have seen Foderigham and Areola gone and brought in Vincent as back up to Hermansen, Mavropanos has his moments but for me, I personally feel he is too much of a liability so needs to be moved on and pull up one of our youth boys as his replacement.
I would like to see Summerville link up with Diouf and Guilherme along that left flank.
Still need a strong midfield playmaker so hopefully our guys cam find someone to bring in COYI
“the clubâs second-top goal scorer”
For this, if for no other reason, we need to keep him. We know his limitations. But in the absence of a new, proven striker, his goals will be vital. No team is going to pay us a fee that’s worth losing that.
Add to that his excellent attitude and love for the club. He’s an important, positive influence.
How oh how did we end up with so much rubbish moyes, loppy, sullivan and Brady hang your heads in shame.(all still in good jobs earning millions in any other occupation it would be unheard of)
