Claret & Hugh have been informed by our top source at West Ham, that the club will “100% be buying a striker” in the next transfer window.

This follows yesterday’s revelation that Tim Steidten has been tasked with finding two central defenders as a priority ahead of next season.

When C&H asked if that meant less priority would be given to securing a striker for Julen Lopetegui’s team, we were told unequivocally that the search for a striker is on. The Hammers will have to keep their eyes on the homegrown quota within the club, meaning that Ivan Toney and, more likely, Dominic Solanke could be realistic choices.

While the club source did not mention any names for inbound transfers, it’s a relief to find out that West Ham will eventually be replacing Gianluca Scamacca. It does make sense that the immediate urgency would be on recruiting defenders given that it’s uncertain whether there will be two fit centre backs to start next season.

I personally would prefer Solanke over Toney his work rate is better and obviously his goals scored this season are better than Toney.

There’s always been an element of click-bait nothingness to this site but recently it has taken a steep plunge. You have to sieve through an awful lot of absolutely nothing if you wish to find a nugget of valuable information. I kind of get it, it’s for money, but when there’s a new blurb boasting of ‘journalistic integrity’, you can’t help but laugh.

Don’t read it then! What happened to using common sense?🙄🤦🏻‍♀️

Only believe any transfer news when you see in a West Ham jersey …. And then think twice .. it’s like this every window … from the journalists … we are getting this one defo … then a bigger club with more money snatches him ..

Low news days drive lazy or negative journalism.

Never blame your audience for their feedback. Now you don’t have Moyes to blame for everything I wander who fill that void until July. Probably Be Sully.

All for the pop up ad money that’s what it’s about not giving a thoughtful and informative item

OMG Kate i wish you had told me to sit down before this groundbreaking revelation….sites like this are fun to peruse for all the rubbish they spout…click on any teams version and guess what they are full of the same banal senseless non stories you can find……..just to get ahead of the game rumour has it the tea ladies jobs on the line and the club are searching everyschool to find a suitable replacement.

    • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

A little harsh. There’s only so much quality news, and we now live in a world of 24/7 demand and supply of information.

If you’re no longer finding it ‘fun to peruse’ this site, you have a choice, but lay off with the ‘banal, senseless’ criticism, eh?

      • N lark says:

Yeah but it is banal and pointless and before you tell me I have a choice journos have a choice too not to report on non reportable items

    • David Pope says:

Your banal comments are such a waste of your precious time…and ours.
Did you not get enough attention as a child? Pathetic.

    • Yvonne says:

Obviously didn’t get a ‘Good Manners’ lesson from your parents!🙄
Don’t like it, don’t read it-or go back to support Spurs!

      • N lark says:

How am I going to know if I like it if I don’t read it.
        lol obvs Kate’s sister

  • Chris Morgan says:

If we’re set to lose up to 12 players come June, we cant really be going on tour in Florida with a squad of 10 players. So quick signings when the window opens is crucial, I think
