Exclusive: Westley fingers crossed for Nathan Holland

Exclusive by Hugh Southon

Nathan Holland’s mentor Terry Westley is delighted the 21 year old winger has at last been included in the Hamers Premier League squad after “doing everything he can do at Under 23 level.”

The former academy chief and ClaretandHugh‘s exclusive blogger speaking after seeing the squad a few minutes ago declared: “I’m so pleased for the boy – really pleased and it would be lovely to see him get on.

For Nathan this could be the night of his life – here he is on the bench of a Premier League match – not the Championship – the Premier League. It’s a serious moment in his career and all eyes will be on him if he gets on.

“I’m so pleased for him.  I’ve just spoken to his parents and there is obviously massive excitement.

“This is such a big game against a very good team and there’s always a danger that having beaten Chelsea and having Arsenal at the London Stadium on Monday attention can wander.

“It will be a big night all round and I have everything crossed Nathan gets on and the Irons come away with something.”

  1. All our fingers are crossed, hope he comes on and blows everyone away with his performance COYI !!!

  2. Not good enough again. Hallier came alive eventually but work rate is about 60%. Anderson covered the pitch tirelessly but not many running off him. Bring back Antonio soon. MP can stare as much as he wants but he’s not pushed his team enough. No shouting, no passion.
Maybe they should have their wages threatened to be docked if not all are pulling their weight. Can’t lose the ball & watch it disappear towards yr half
