ExWHUEmployee Rubbishes West Ham Jarrod Bowen Clause Claim

West Ham insider ExWHUEmployee has revealed the Hammers will do everything possible to keep hold of Jarrod Bowen this summer.

And that intention apparently remains the same irrespective of whether the club survive in the Premier League or drop into the Championship.

Ex provided the update earlier today via The West Ham Way Patreon and for further clarity Claret & Hugh went directly to the man himself.

The Hammers insider told us:

“I am denied that Bowen has a £20m release clause. The club have said they’d like to hold on to him, even if we drop to the Championship.

“Whether they stick to their words, only time will tell.”

West Ham Release Clause Claims Dismissed

It is a significant update given that Claret & Hugh’s own source yesterday also dismissed claims suggesting Taty Castellanos had a bargain release clause allowing him to leave cheaply in the event of relegation.

Clearly, there are now multiple stories circulating suggesting various West Ham players would suddenly become available for far below their market value.

Bowen Rumours Appear Wide Of The Mark

As Ex himself acknowledged, whether the club ultimately stand firm on Bowen is another matter entirely.

But it is becoming increasingly clear that the stories surrounding cheap release clauses involving Bowen, Matheus Fernandes and Castellanos are completely false.

At the moment, many of these claims appear to be externally driven by media outlets with very little genuine insight into the internal workings of West Ham United.

With his recent performances and his age, if a large bid came in why would you just dismiss it? Will he want to stay at the club? His last comment was I’ll make my mind up at the end of the season. Seems to me alot of decisions have to be made before any decision on him leaving or staying are made.

I wouldn’t imagine Bowen’s salary reduces by half either, his deal was signed in happier times

And still Daniel Kretinsky remains a very silent partner. Wouldn’t it be nice if he made an effort to speak about West Ham occasionally.

Who is managing player departures and maybe even arrivals? Sullivan? We know how that ends. It’s all a mess and will be if we stay up by a miracle or go down.
Sometime the club will wake up to the need for the club to be run professionally.
