With the Irons under 23s top of their league it may well be that the manager sees several of them as saving the club a lot of money in transfer windows from here on.

We have yet to see any movement in the current window and may get another hint as to why not at the weekend when we take on Leeds in the FA Cup.

This has traditionally become a tournament in which we blood our more promising youngsters and that will be a reason why – along with great prices for kids and adults – the club is looking for a sell out.

Covid worries may of course affect that but this is a great opportunity to fill the stadium where prices start at £10 for adults with kids at a quid.
