  1. Claret & Hugh came out and supported the Club only taking a small allocation for the Liverpool game.-On the basis that Priority points applications were met.On the basis that thousands of non Priority points applications have been made for the Blackburn match does Claret and Hugh now admit that it and the Club were wrong over the Liverpool allocation.

    • You want an apology – I remember us reporting what the ticket office said – that’s hardly supporting them is it.?

    • To be fair, I wrote the piece not Hugh.

As the article states, the club sold over 5,125 before it went to General sale today. The Liverpool game had problems being an evening game with lack of trains home and the tickets needed to be paid for before the January pay day after an expensive Christmas fo many.

As Hugh said, we took what the ticket office told me at face value. Whether we could have sold 6,000 for Liverpool we will never know now so an argument is pointless now as to who was write or wrong. Obviously, fans have been inspired to make the trip to Blackburn for the fifth round on a Sunday and fair play to them.

  2. Hugh, the way I remember it you supported their decision saying it was justified by STHs all getting tickets.I believe you were wrong but am not looking for an apology. You are enitled to have an opinion and like all of us can be proved wrong. What I want is an acknowledgement from the Club that on this occasion they go it wrong and an assurance that in the light of sales for the Blackburn Game they will be much more positive when claiming future allocations.

    • Paul, the club still believe they called it right for Liverpool but just maybe they took the full 7,200 allocation for Blackburn based on fan feedback about how they handle Liverpool. Personally, I am delighted we are sending a 7,000 strong army up north and gutted I couldn’t make it this weekend.

  3. They’ve only been getting 12-13,000 recently, possibly a bit more for a game.like this, especially as it will be a change from their wretched league form.

    Should be a good atmosphere.

  4. The last time they hosted a Premier League side in FA Cup was April last year. They played Liverpool in a sixth round replay which they lost 1-0.

Attendance was 28,415 that day so I would expect I similar crowd on Sunday
