Fabianski hopes rise

West Ham are hoping that Lukasz Fabianski may make it back into the team a couple of weeks before the start of January.

Hammers sources have told ClaretandHugh that the Hammer of the Year is making very good progress from the injury which saw him break down at Bournemouth.

It has been widely reported that the Polish international will return at the start of the window but the hammers will press on with trying to find another back up keeper given Roberto’s form.

However, we were told by a source on the phone last night: “He (Fabianski) is doing very well at the moment and fingers are crossed that he could be back for the Christmas programme.”

There are no guarantees but hopes are rising a little. It would be a real bonus if he could make it.”

The Irons face Crystal Palace on December 26 at Selhurst Park and are at home to Leicester City on December 28.

  1. Is any other club this dependant on their keeper? He’s like Roy Race, coming on to save the day when we’re 25-0 down!

    • Don’t forget Karol Wojtyła (AKA the Pope) was a goalkeeper in his younger days, so….

      FABIANSKI FOR POPE!
