Fabianski, Rice, Diop updates

West Ham are hopeful of their big three returning for the game against Brentford on Saturday afternoon!

Lukasz Fabianski, Declan Rice and Issa Diop all continued to train at Rush Green on the advice of Head of Medical, Richard Collinge, as two Hammers teams took on Wycombe Wanderers and  Ipswich yesterday afternoon.

All three had apparently been suffering very minor knocks from training and given their importance to the team were withheld from any contact situations.

None of the ‘knocks’ are in anyway serious but the decision was taken as a precautionary measure according to a ClaretandHugh source.

Whilst it is hoped they will see some minutes in the game against the beaten Championship play off finalists no chances will be taken with the opening game of the season just over two weeks ago.

However, David Moyes is hoping they will be able to get some game time registered before we take on Newcastle United on September 12.

  1. So what is this I hear about the club willing to do business with Chelsea over Rice if they cough up £70 million and a player. What the heck good for us is £70 million if we can’t spend it and get someone in who is as good as Rice because that must always be the criteria when recruiting, not lessening the standard to what you are losing. Rice must not be sold plain and simple.

  2. So on Tuesday the big news story was, where are rice And Diop, are they on their way out? Are they going in big money transfers? Is that why they’re not playing against wyckham or Ipswich? The alternative rumour was that they were among the premier league players mentioned that had contracted Covid 19.
Today turns out they were injured. Just proves you shouldn’t listen to rumours right and shows how speculative some of the other news sources are.
