West Ham have made their next move in the transfer market – according to in-the-know Fabrizio Romano who has given his trademark ‘here we go’ confirmation of a done deal which represents something of a U-turn by West Ham who, just last week, suggested that their midfield star Guido Rodriguez would be staying at the club.
Romano’s ‘done deal declaration’ is significantly ahead of our own club sources’ updates from Friday night but suggests that the Hammers have decided to cut and run over the midfielder: other sources claiming the Irons have cancelled his contract and not received a fee for his departure: Getting his £70-£90,000 a week wages off the books was probably seen to be sufficiently attractive in itself.

Rodriguez’ departure will leave the way open for youngsters Freddie Potts and Soungoutou Magassa to develop further alongside any new talent arrivals ahead of the window closing next week: Still surprising that Nuno chose to play Rodriguez last week ahead of his departure today.
Further evidence of no plan, or just realisation that Rodriguez had no future at West Ham? Probably both.
This transfer period was supposed to be a ‘Get out of jail’ period.
As usual many names speculated but very little materialised.
Players going out with limited transfer fees coming in is just saving their wages.
Sullivan congratulating Nuno and rubbing his hands, more money for his kitty.
No players out there is bullh!t.
Forest have managed to find 6′ 7” replacement for their injured striker.
If, unlikely, Nuno is there next season will he fall in line with players and lose 50% wages?
Relegation will be decimation.
We ain’t going down. I’m quietly excited with our new signings Come on Nuno ⚒️
get rid of one waste of money, to be replaced by another so west ham signing we’ll get stuck with when Nuno goes..
Valencia probably wanted proof that he was fit. Nothing sinister here.
Always thought that given his history of winning things, that he would be a better player than the one that we saw.
A ridiculous signing in the first place but then again it fell in line with our chaotic transfer dealings
Thank goodness those days of chaotic transfer dealings are over now, pat.
Now we can look forward to an enlightened and structured running of our football club.
