West Ham United have made a bid for yet another goalkeeper, according to football transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
The Hammers have already signed Mads Hermansen and re-signed Lukasz Fabianski this season, but Romano claims the club are now in talks with a Saudi side over an additional option between the posts.
Writing on social media, Romano said:
βWest Ham have sent an official bid to Al Nassr for Brazilian GK Bento. Talks are underway.β
The 26-year-old has six international caps for Brazil and is currently in his second season with Al Nassr, who are widely regarded as the richest club in the Saudi Pro League.

A Move Nobody Saw Coming
This represents something of a bolt from the blue, with few β if any β expecting West Ham to return to the market for another goalkeeper so soon after reinforcing the position.
Bento was previously linked with a move to Chelsea last summer. If true, this rumour undoubtedly would mean Hermansen leaving the London Stadium in January.
We do need an International Keeper to compete with Areola, however at least one if not 2 decent central defenders. Signing have been either not very good or not at all in key positions. We have no core in the side. We are fine left and right, although it could be better, the issue down the centre. Center back, center midfield, centre forward. We also lack a real leader and attitude though team. I love Jarrod, he is an excellent player, which we will lose if we go down, but he is not a leader. We are probably down but its not over until its over. We could sort it all with one player. He is called Declan Rice.
Would make sense if they’re going to sell Mads Hermansen
As they are regarded richest club in the world any chance throwing in a couple of decent centre backs f.o.c?
Should be concentrating on more important needs.
Goalkeepers look to be well down pecking order.
If there’s time (and money) they can be chased at end of signing on period.
Why spend money on a GK when we don’t have a defence to defend him, Lamb to the Slaughter comes to mind. What a complete and utter shambles.
Welcome to the Championship.
I would think his salary would rule us out. Romano is not the reliable informant he used to be
