Familiar Agent Pushing Hammers Transfer Move

West Ham appears to be on the verge of signing a new defender, with numerous reports suggesting the involvement of a very familiar name.

As we reported two days ago, the Hammers are interested in completing a move for 24-year-old Brazilian defender Vitao this summer and the agent behind the deal is none other than Kia Joorabchian.

Joorabchian, who was instrumental in bringing both Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to East London in a controversial transfer that led to West Ham paying £30 million in fines and compensation for third-party ownership, seems to be behind this potential transfer as well.

Many will also remember that Joorabchian was behind a consortium wishing to take over ownership at West Ham before the club eventually fell into the hands of the Icelandic’s.

The 24-year-old Vitao, who was on loan at Internacional this season, performed admirably for the Brazilian club. He is capable of playing as a central defender and as a right-back, making his versatility a valuable asset for West Ham if the deal goes through.

Bloody dodgy agent, always has been, always will be. He’s like a leech sucking in young players and leeching out the best deal for himself. Problem is, they’re nearly all like him. Look at Salthouse. His name crops up time after time like a bad small. In good company with our owner and the Dame. Deeply dodgy.
