Famous Hammers sicknote could be set for PL return

Andy Carroll could be set for a shock return to the Premier League… meaning he could face the Hammers this season!

The Daily Telegraph reports that Wolves are eyeing up a potential move for the ex-Hammers sicknote, who spent more time injured than he did on the pitch for the Irons.

Wolves have been trying to do a deal to sign Diego Costa, who is also a free agent, but his work permit has been rejected, leading them to explore a move for Carroll.

Wolves have launched an appeal in a bid to save the Costa deal but Carroll is seen as a potential backup, as he qualifies as a homegrown player and is also a free agent, after leaving West Brom at the end of last season.

The 33-year-old scored 34 goals for the Hammers in 142 appearances, and also won nine England caps, scoring two goals for his country.

It remains to be seen if a deal will actually be done but we’d love to see Carroll go up against Kurt Zouma and the like at the London Stadium!
