Hammers loanee Matthias Fanimo game famine went on at Tranmere Rovers where he was again an unused sub against Newport County in goal less draw on Tuesday evening.
Fanimo – on a month’s loan – failed to make the action against Hartlepool last Saturday being forced to watchfrom the bench as the game again ended goal-less.
The youngster scored four goals in a behind the scenes game against Ipswich just two weeks ago.
He started his one month initial loan on the 11th September but so far has failed to get any play time in the first two games he has been available to play.
With only three matches remaining between now and the end of his loan period, the player and the club must hope he sees action soon or he will be likely to be recalled with the spell seen as a colossal waste of time.
Tranmere take on Exeter on Saturday so hopefully he will finally make his debut but a Tranmere insider told Claret and Hugh that Tranmere manger Rob Edwards is a very cautious man who won’t rush things.
However, should he be exccluded again there are likely to be some difficult questions asked.
This situation highlights the issue West Ham have in finding a club for Elliot Lee given they need to know he will be played week in, week out.
