Fanimo to Tranmere Rovers

Matthias FanimoHammers Academy youngster Matthias Fanimo looks set to join League Two Tranmere Rovers on loan according to various report.

The 20-year-old midfielder once dubbed himself the fastest the player in football after he published his GPS tracking results on social media. The results showed he match Antonio Valencia and outpaced Theo Walcott and Aaron Lennon. He also outpaced Real Madrid stars Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Fanimo has made three appearances for West Ham, all in cup games, and has represented England at U16, U17 and U18 levels.

Fanimo signed his first professional contract with the Hammers in the summer of 2011 and  made his first team debut for West Ham on 28th August 2012 against Crewe in the league cup coming on as a 60th minute substitute for Matt Taylor. West Ham won the match 2–0.

Last week Fanimo scored four goals in a behind the scenes game against an Ipswich XI.
