Fans deliver brutal verdict

Darren Randolph has come under fire for his recent performances culminating in a display at Sunderland which saw him concede two soft goals – one from a clear foul he failed to protest.

Here ClaretandHugh Facebook followers @https://www.facebook.com/groups/363174467150521/  give their views on what they believe should happen next.

O Dreadful ‘keeping, but I just cannot understand why, when we score a goal, we slow it down, and play backwards!
Drives me nuts! We’re much better playing a faster tempo & pushing forward-so we do the opposite!
O I really could only see one winner in that last 10 mins, and it wasn’t us. So many backward passes. Sure some will be blaming Gold and Sullivan but there was one chief culprit today – RANDOLPH!!
O Dont blame Randi blame the man who keeps putting him in and passing Adrian over if Slav had a mirror in his office he would fall out with himself
O I take the point but “don’t blame Randolph” for appalling mistakes and letting him down = Blimey
O Slav has an issue with Adrian and needs grow up stop the stubbornness and play Adrian that’s my point Randi is a sub goalie at best
OProbably the worst keeper in the prem at the moment ! He was only a good shot stopper before turning into McKnight anyway ! Doesn’t command his penalty area, weak on all crosses, & his kicking is laughable ! But then who keeps picking the clown ?
O When Adrian was having his repeating nightmare, the call from all and sundry was “get rid and get Randolph in”. Now it’s “get rid and get Adrian in”. I’m not defending Randolph. I certainly think he’s outstayed his welcome. But so many supporters have very short and selective memories.
O To me, the whole point of having two, is to play the one ‘in form’. Adrian definitely needed a rest/wake-up call, but we’ve stuck with Randolph too long-should’ve been swapped back weeks ago.
O Has been making the same mistakes for a while now and his hesitancy from crosses/set pieces just creates nervousness at the back. At least whatever Adrian does, he fully commits to. Adrian has to come in for the rest of the season.
Not convinced Adrian is much better though

  1. Beginning to think Bilic is as stubborn as a mule …. we have the playing people out of position for two thirds of the season scenario to accomodate a clearly past it Noble … Won’t pick Adrian when Randolph is costing us valuable points …. won’t pick Abeola because he dose’t get on and now Sakho again … without doubt our best striker but Bilic has fallen out with him . Let us also not forget that the most talented player we have had since DiCanio left under a cloud because he couldn’t get on with Bilic ….Would expect this in a pub team not he premiereship .

  2. Randolph is poor there is no doubt but sorry to say Bilic has ultimately to shoulder the blame. Whole sale changes are needed going forward or I see us turning into the next Aston Villa/Sunderland. I find myself totally void of passion watching the lads and I don’t like that feeling . It’s up there with Grant/ Roeder ( with Brooking in Roeders case showing how it should be done). Seriously COYI

  3. I’ve been saying it for 6 matches but I suppose we don’t see what Adrian is like in training. I just think he needs to tell Adrian it’s your shirt till the season end as we have some massive decisions to make for next season and if Randy is the best we have then they’ll both be out of the door. However a decent 5 games by Adrian and he can earn his place next season.

  4. Sorry to switch gears a little..
The manner in which Bilic has treated Sakho (again!) is nothing short of atrocious..
sadly, Slav’s time at WHU is close to the end; he mis-manages Payet, Sakho, plays guys out of position and has little apparent idea of how to set a team formation!
Thanks for the good times Slav, but i think its time to move on..

  5. slav needs to go falls out with the players, players in wrong positions, been sacked what ever clubs hes managed doesnt listen kept being told antonio is not a r back still played him there, snodgrass a right midfielder he plays him on the left, bilic got to go if new players come in he will fall out with them
