Fan’s view: Thank you for everything DG and DS

|

David Gold’s passing has been lamented by everybody inside the club and beyond. Here, Hammers fan The Cat – a Claret and Hugh follower – pays his respects in a piece that hopefully will be received with respect by the fanbase.

By The Cat

As well as my thoughts and wishes for Mr David Gold, his family and his friends, I would like to personally thank him for everything he has done for this club that I have supported all my life.

Before Mr Gold and Mr Sullivan, this club had never had chairmen who honestly invested in this club or had any dream or vision of moving this club to the next level.

I also found it disgraceful when supporters of this club abused Mr Gold on Social Media not so long ago. This self-made man was a man of integrity who realised his dream and only wanted the best for this club.

Thank you Mr Gold fellow Hammer may you Rest In Peace ⚒⚒⚒

Local man, local club. Not many of those left sadly. Now one less!

A worthy tribute Cat and I endorse your sentiments too. A chairman to be proud of as he really was ‘one of our own’. Well done Cat.
