Feghouli is a Hammer

|

Sof
Winger Sofiane Feghouli has completed a move to West Ham from Valencia as a free agent. The 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Hammers.

The Algeria international moved to Valencia from Grenoble in the summer of 2010 and quickly became a crucial player for Los Che. However, he has struggled to replicate his best form during the 2015-2016 campaign due to injuries.

Whufc.com confirmed the news “West Ham United are delighted to announce the capture of exciting Algeria winger Sofiane Feghouli from Valencia CF.”“The 26-year-old will arrive from Spain on a three-year contract on a free transfer on 1 July, having successfully completed his medical at Spire Roding Hospital and agreed personal terms.”

“The Paris-born wideman has been a regular in La Liga since joining Valencia from French side Grenoble in 2010, scoring 42 goals in 243 appearances for Los Che.”

“I am very happy to sign for the Hammers and for Slaven Bilic,” Feghouli told whufc.com. The history of the Club is important for me in my decision.

“Playing in the Premier League is very important for players in their careers and I am happy to play for the Hammers.”

Great signing but my concern is Antonio.

Please Please Please do not drop him to RB Slaven! He can do a job there but we lose all of his threat on the wing. Defenders have no idea how to defend against him (partly because I dont think he knows what he is doing himself!)

Where does this leave tore we still in for him?

  • johnboy says:

Not a problem L J. We will need a big squad this year what with Europe and that !
Antonio is a first team player and IMO will be even better next year , Slavs building for a big club and we will need big players .
All will have to be used and needed when injurys turn up like last year when we were left short .
    A c/f a r/b and a centre half is all that’s needed now , IMO.
Added to the 3 m/f which includes tore ?

i think this is more like the sakho situation and is more believable as well as johnboy has said we will need a bigger squad than we have now. hope it true he is just concerned as anyone would be in his situation

I am really excited by this signing, genuine top quality with pedigree even if not a household name yet, the sort of signing that as long as we keep Payet will show the rest of Europe we are building for now and the future.

That’s Moses and Song covered for nada,
Great business by the 2 Daves and Slav, all we need now is to bring in someone for Emineke and JOB and we have a full squad for next year,
Then it’s sell and buy to replace,
Already getting excited for next season, don’t think you have to witty about Antonio he is a different sort of player and we will need to rotate our squad which has not been that easy with our shallow squad before,

Feghuoli was part of that brilliant Algerian team that lit up the World Cup in ’14…(They very nearly beat Germany) He’s a big player, it is just that we haven’t heard of him. He’s not quite the “diamond in the rough” type signing, which I like much prefer; makes for far greater team harmony, rather than having some big noise coming in lording it over everyone else.
Feghouli’s Algerian striker teammate, Slimani, is dynamite, but we couldn’t get him! …
But I’m worried about what Bilic’s plans are for Antonio; he could easily be our 15-20 goals a season, but not if he’s stuck at RB!
Antonio, Feghuoli, Tore: 3 brilliant right wingers. Left wing = 0 (unless we call Payet a left winger, which I don’t)…So how does that work? V confused!
