Few worries for Moyes

Dawson – expected to retain his place

David Moyes looks certain to name an unchanged team for the clash with Leicester City at the London Stadium on Monday evening.

With both teams having won their opening games – Leicester beating Wolves 1-0 in a local derby – a major clash is on hand early in the season.

The Hammers will have no fear after an unbeaten pre-season whilst scoring six against the Fozes over two winning games last term.

And with Said Benrahma beginning to look real business and Mickey Antonio in goal scoring form we can look forward to a really exciting Monday evening.

Moyes is still on the lookout for players ahead of the transfer deadline but has every reason to be content with what he has seen so far and the real worry will be that injuries will hit the squad ahead of the final window day.

It will be interesting to see what the boss does defensively after two poor goals were conceded at Newcastle but we expect Craig Dawson to retain his place at the expense of Issa Diop.

Arthur Masuaka is also expected to return to the squad after reportedly recovering from injury.

Hammers likely team: Fabianski, Coufal, Dawson, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Bowen, Rice, Soucek, Fornals, Benrahma, Antonio.

  1. We cannot play Dawson after his performance at the weekend and also because Vardy will just have a field day. If he starts on Monday I am predicting Vardy to have a field day. The only way we play Dawson on Monday is in a back 3 which would mean we change formation.
