A 17-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon. The teenager was arrested on Friday morning in Benfleet, Essex and was taken to an East End police station for questioning.
On Wednesday evening Karren Brady told the Supporters feedback panel that four arrests had been made at the Middlesbrough fixture but stressed none were made inside the London Stadium. Of those four arrested she explained one arrest was related to ticket touting, another for possession of cannabis and the others were one West Ham fan and one Middlesbrough fan relating to disorder.
The Newham recorder confirmed a 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of affray while a 49-year-old was detained for affray and possessing an offensive weapon. A 47-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
All three have been bailed to return to an east London police station in late November.
