Fighting Yarmo gives fans assurance

|

ive long in the memory of those who witnessed it at the game on TV and inside Goodison Park.

He even found himself being compared with Gareth Bale in an element of his game which brought the sensational strike.

But for him the result at Everton and his part in it was all about the team nd that after a lot of criticism about a lethargic attitude, the team really stepped up and showed what they are about.

He said: “We played well at Everton. We played like a team, both in defence and attack, and we are very happy for our first win in the Premier League.

“I’m very happy for my team winning. Who scores the goals, I don’t care.

“We worked hard because we had to change around the results and we had to show our fans that we will fight for this Club.”

Yes he did well with his goals, but he needs to remember not to mess about in defence when he is tracking back to support.
At Everton he made an attempt to hold the player off on the touchline in our half, which could have had repercussions; as the ball didn’t cross the line and let them in, then he also gave away a stupid yellow card in pulling a player back, which struck me as being a bit tired at that point.

Pellegrini has to recognise that this style of play is quite alien to Yarmo, but he Yarmo, has to realise that defending with your full back is part of the game now and requires high levels of fitness.

A minor criticism, but one that can be very hurtful when we get it wrong with the best teams.
Compared to the Wolves game this was different gravy and has identified the starting eleven we need to carry on with for the forseeable.
