Finally – A Life Line for Aguerd

As reported earlier today Aguerd has made it clear that he is not interested in joining any of the clubs that have expressed interest in him, as the defender reportedly believes he deserves a move to a bigger club.

The”super star” reportedly feels that going to Porto, Villarreal, Real Sociedad, Wolves and Saudi Arabia are beneath his talents.

Well finally, there could be some good news

Respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio claims that Fiorentina has approached the Irons with a loan move for Aguerd.

However, he does not say what sort of deal it is.  You would have thought that an option to buy will be included in the deal.

And more to the point, Aguerd would surely not deem Fiorentina beneath him.

Aguerd is on around £50k per week at West Ham so wages should not be a problem for Fiorentina.

This is the perfect solution for all concerned.

Silly .we should keep him as a left full back as we are short in that position. He has pace and can tackle plus could cover at centre back if we were needed

Unless we are somehow able to get Jhon Duran in at the last minute if Aguerd goes then I have to agree with Carrick Hammer. That is, keep Aguerd as a backup left back.

Losing Aguerd without having sufficient cover for left-back, seems short-sighted, IMHO.
With Cresswells’ hamstrings, what happens if Emerson gets injured?
It seems Lopetgui likes to play 3 central defenders with advanced ‘wing’ backs, which suits West Ham’s full backs, where’s the depth?

  • Charlie Farley says:

Do you think Aguerd actually said to a reporter that certain clubs are beneath him?

Wake up! Open your eyes…….It’s b****

On a personal feeling I do not really think he is good enough for the PL.
