Fit-Again Striker Wants Move Away For ‘Personal Reasons’

Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham are in a state of flux at the moment: Mid-way through a period of style transition: Part of the way through integrating nine new summer signings. And Lopetegui himself struggling to implement his training methods, several players reportedly wanting out of the club.

In their news article of earlier today entitled ‘Fullkrug wants to leave West Ham‘, Italian Football Media Source calciomercato.com have reported that ‘Fullkrug wants to leave West Ham temporarily for Personal reasons‘ and that “a loan to Juventus” is one option being explored by the German’s agents.

Of course, one ‘report’ alone doesn’t prove much. The story is based on purely a short term loan deal to take Fullkrug away from London Stadium until the summer. Those ‘personal reasons’ cannot be anything to do with being homesick for Germany or he’d not be considering a temporary loan to Italian Super Club Juve.

Presumably there is something very wrong at West Ham that is driving Fullkrug to look for a short-term break from London Stadium.

I wonder if events in the next couple of weeks might make the German feel less ‘unsettled’, depending on the resolution to the Lopetegui Crisis and the choice of his successor.

Maybe he’s heard that Edin Terzic might be the next arrival?  The prospect of renewing their well-documented fractious relationship from Dortmund days would certainly make him ‘unsettled’ just now.
