Flag bearer banned for teeshirt slogan

|

A West Ham flag bearer has been banned for the remainder of the season after displaying an anti board slogan on his t-shirt.

The season ticket holder received a letter from the club and the London Stadium saying he breached ground regulations by displaying provocative messaging that was deliberately designed to the incite the crowd. His t-shirt included a slogan under his jacket saying ‘GSB OUT’

The supporter has been informed that he has banned from all West Ham home and away games and the ban would be seasonal.

The letter dates 31st December told the fan that he had 28 days if he planned to appeal.  Amanda Jacks from the Football Supporters Association took to social media this afternoon to say: “A “seasonal ban” for wearing a “provocative” t-shirt to “deliberately incite the crowd”. Incite the crowd into what, I wonder? Having honestly held beliefs against the club ownership and how it’s been run?”
