West Ham managerial target Paulo Fonseca has one more game in charge of Shakhtar Donetsk this Saturday in the Championship playoff against Rivals Dynamo.
Shakhtar has already won the Ukrainian Premier League after they triumphed in the game against FC Veres (Rivne, northern Ukraine) and scoring 75 points in the table thus, becoming beyond the grasp of Dynamo Kyiv.
It’s the second champion title in a row for Shakhtar under Fonseca, and the eleventh victory in the national league since the club was established. Shakhtar also defeated Dynamo in the final for the Cup of Ukraine.
Fonseca two year contract with Shakhtar expires on 30th June this year, he was previously wanted by Everton as a replacement for Sam Allardyce and met Farhad Moshiri with his agent Jorge Mendes.
Fonseca flew into Luton yesterday afternoon with Mendes for a 75-minute interview with David Sullivan later viewing an apartment in London Docklands. He is expected to fly back to Ukraine today as his side prepares for their last game at the weekend.
This is insanity. What has he achieved? The Ukraine Premier League? Please. Is he really upgrade on Moyes? The transfer window opens on Thursday. After such a horrible season, the thought that we could make another managerial blunder of epic proportions is incomprehensible. This guy is Avram Grant and Frank De Boer combined in a single person.
Moyes has won nothing in how many years?
