Forest reported to be eyeing Hammer

Said Benrahma is being linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.

According to Nottinghamshire Live the player is believed to interest City Ground boss Steve Cooper but it seems unlikely to happen until the Hammers bring in new players.

The squad remains very thin and manager David Moyes has admitted he  is desperate to get more signings over the line before deadline day.

Both Benny and Nikola Vlasic are reported as possible departures but with Issa Diop definitely on his way it’s hard to see the boss reducing the squad further until he has strengthened considerably.

Vlasic has regularly been linked with a switch to Torino but his wages are reportedly causing the hold up in such a move.

And the former Brentford winger despite scoring 11 goals and assisted six in his 47 outings last season has proved inconsistent by and large and has failed to hold down a regular place.

Once again he was on the bench against Manchester City before replacing Manu Lanzini at half time and failing to make a serious impact – along of course with the others.

  1. Please let this be true……….
Over rated , over payed waste of a shirt

  2. If you look at his starts on minutes per game by assist or goal he is the nest player in our team, he is inconsistent and if Moyes doesn’t fancy him then he should be sold, it is worth pointing out though he is creative, he plays early balls a fair few of which are intercepted but others that lead to goals, up front Bowen, Antonio, Fornals, Lanzini rarely play an early ball which is probably why our strikers don’t score many goals, if we had a better left back that could defend we could afford the downside of his game. I am a bit worried that we won’t have anyone like benrahma that can change a game on the bench of he is sold and short of buying two or three genuine attacking midfielders we are left with Lanzini who is also inconsistent, Downes who is unproven and not really an attacking midfielder and Vlasic who we can’t shift, hopefully Cornet will give us a bit of a lift and as he is a bit stronger physically then Benny and if Benny wants to go, like Diop sell him.

  3. Please sell him and get someone that can make a difference, but get a good price for him. It’ll probably be 2mil + add ons which is our form.
We are still short of players regardless if he goes, the ManC game proved that.
