Former Cardiff midfielder is out of reach

According to a report from Spanish website Estadio Deportivo, West Ham wants to sign Real Betis midfielder Víctor Camarasa before the transfer window closes a week on Thursday.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan with Cardiff City scoring five goals and making four assists from 32 appearances.

Like other reports of players destined for the Hammers, this one is extremely unlikely due to his valuation of €25 million (£23 million)

With the Hammers spending £45m including add-ons for Sebastien Haller and £24m for Pablo Fornals the big name and big money transfers of this summer are done and the club do not have the funds to conclude deals of this size.

While loans or free transfers remain an option Manuel Pellegrini is known to value quality over quantity and he could well go without unless there is a late departure by Javier Hernandez which appears unlikely at this stage because of his wage demands.

  1. Where’s all the money gone Bournemouth have spend more than us its not the next level Sullivan and Gold told us the move to the bowl would bring

  2. Its not where the money has gone, its that Sullivan wont let us spend beyond our means as a business. I guess in a business sense that’s completely right. However, our net spend won’t even be in the top half come the end of the window.

Sullivan and Gold, at their age, could spend a bit of their money and actually go out with some love from fans – they have seen an £85 million outlay turn into a £500 million investment, or if you listen to Brady £1 billion, or Red Bull supposedly £650 million. (Don’t listen to the guy who recently said £350 million as our player assets are nearly that alone now).

They have had interest payments of £15 million-ish in their time on the £110 million debt, which i think i read was partially guaranteed by the Icelandic’s anyway, and this has been over half cleared, with a roughly zero net profit over their tenure

So, for our club, they are good businessmen and a safe pair of hands, albeit terrible for public relations, it just might be nice to see some of the massive fortune they have made out of the club put back in for ‘love’.
