Three-time Hammer of the Year Scott Parker has been put in charge of Fulham as caretaker manager after the sacking of Claudio Ranieri after just 17 games in charge.
The former West Ham midfielder enjoyed four great seasons in east London between 2007-11, making 129 appearances, scoring 12 goals and being named Footballer of the Year in 2011.
Parker hung up his boots at the age of 36, ending a career that spanned 20 seasons, 572 senior games for West Ham, Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Spurs and Fulham, 18 England caps and countless crunching tackles and lung-bursting runs.
The 38-year-old has now been appointed as Fulham’s interim manager, his first senior management role. He previously worked as Spur’s Under-18s coach before returning to Craven Cottage (where he finished his playing career) last summer to become a first-team coach. Parker will now face another of his former clubs, Chelsea, when he makes his management debut this weekend.
Fulham remain rooted to the bottom of the Premier League, 10 points away from safety with 10 games to play.
