Former Hammers Academy player Blair Turgott took to social media to thank fans after it was announced he would be leaving Coventry City after his short term contract expired. The 20-year-old winger made just three appearances for the Sky Blues during his short stint with the club.
The former West Ham youth player made the move to the Ricoh Arena in February making his debut for the club in a 1-0 defeat to Barnsley in March. Turgott went on to make appearances against Peterborough United – in which he scored the decisive goal to secure a 3 points for Coventry and the defeat to Leyton Orient at the Ricoh Arena just three days later.
The former Hammer must now find himself a new club, after Mowbray confirmed he would be released along with another former Hammer youth player Frank Nouble.
On Twitter Turgott wrote: “I would like to thank everyone at Coventry City FC -staff, players and fans. Enjoyed my time and all the best in the future!”.
