Former Hammer scores three in three

|

llegetFormer Hammer Sebastian Lletget scored for the third straight game on Wednesday night as he scored the opener in LA Galaxy’s 5-0 thrashing of the Portland Timbers in the MLS.  He came off the bench to score in last weekend’s 5-1 win over the Philadelphia Union.

Just 13 minutes in, the former West Ham  midfielder fired Bruce Arena’s men ahead when he slotted home Dan Gargan’s deflected pass following a Stefan Ishizaki through ball to continue his impressive run of form.

Five minutes later, he also helped double LA’s lead after Portland’s Max Urruti brought him down in the box for a spot-kick that captain and former Hammers  teammate Robbie Keane converted to make it 2-0.

He scored his first goal for LA Galaxy against Columbus Crew SC in 1-1 draw 11 days ago.

Good luck to the lad, seems to be doing well in the MLS.Wasnt ever good enough for the prem though.

  • Quickdraw Slaven a party says:

Totally agree on both points chicken. Please no one start shouting for him to be brought back.

  • Simply The Best says:

Lol,no chance of that Quick,i saw him for the Dev squad a few times, talented lad but not good enough to hold down any sort of Prem place. No blame can be attached to hippo for this one.The lad just didnt quite have enough.

  • bubs says:

If he grows with age and works his way through the system could surprise us all and return in 5 years to the premier,
But never quite ready for us and it was the USA or the championship

  • rugbyirons says:

What rubbish. .if bfs gave him any premiership time then and only then can you tell if he could make it.he should have been given last twentys to replace the pointless Nolan who by then had faded to a statue. He only needed those few chances to prove his worth but with the genius in charge he has cost us again.

  • Simply The Best says:

Sorry,no disrespect Rugby but he wasnt good enough. You can blame hippo all you want but he wasnt up to it.But seeing as you told us we were bullsh*tting then i dont mind tell you you are talking out of your ar*e actually!!

  • Quickdraw Slaven a party says:

So playing in the prem is THE only way to know if a player is good or not sorry rugby but that’s nonsense. I blame BFS for an awful lot of things but this young lad getting a good start in the much lesser MLS instead of playing in the prem is not one of them.

  • ChickenRunner says:

Dont now about rugby/steve knowing his onions but he has regularly mad me cry with laughter with his illogical rants 😀

  • Quickdraw Slaven a party says:

I thought they were all current managers on Wetpants lol

  • TysonM says:

I can just about tolerate that place, even manager Steve, but as soon as telephone no. turns up it is time to feck off, lol, geezer would talk to a dead fly on a window ledge if he thought he could get an arguement out of it or it would listen to his expert analysis & genius thinking 😉

  • Badda Bing says:
