Former Hammer Sebastian Lletget scored for the third straight game on Wednesday night as he scored the opener in LA Galaxy’s 5-0 thrashing of the Portland Timbers in the MLS. He came off the bench to score in last weekend’s 5-1 win over the Philadelphia Union.
Just 13 minutes in, the former West Ham midfielder fired Bruce Arena’s men ahead when he slotted home Dan Gargan’s deflected pass following a Stefan Ishizaki through ball to continue his impressive run of form.
Five minutes later, he also helped double LA’s lead after Portland’s Max Urruti brought him down in the box for a spot-kick that captain and former Hammers teammate Robbie Keane converted to make it 2-0.
He scored his first goal for LA Galaxy against Columbus Crew SC in 1-1 draw 11 days ago.
