Steve Lomas is the bookies favourite to take over at league Two club Plymouth Argyle where he could soon be battling with Teddy Sheringham’s Stevenage and Ian Hendon’s Leyton Orient.
The former Hammers midfielder and Millwall manager dropped from 33/1 to just Evens with the boot makers over the weekend. Argyle are looking for a replacement after John Sheridan left the club at the end of the season. Lomas has been out-of-work since being sacked by Millwall in 2013.
Argyle have confirmed five interviews took place with Steve Lomas is expected to be one of those candidates. An announcement is expected early next week.
We must all applaud the way “agent” Steve Lomas lost half of his games at Millwall before being sacked and not taking them down 100%, would have surley deserved a statue in his honour at West Ham . . .
Argyle have passed on the data to management consultancy specialists WHTID inc. The results are expected as soon as all stats have been overanalysed, tea leaves have been read and the witch doctor has been consulted. Early findings suggest the sky may fall in on the Plymouth area.
He and Tim Breacker deserve to be inducted into our Hall of Fame for the job they did at Millwall!! 😀
Hope he gets the job was a good servant to our club and never a Nolan,
