MLS team Columbus Crew have signed 31 -year-old former Hammer Emanuel Pogatetz.
Free agent Pogatetz revealed on his personal website that he has signed a three and a half year deal with Columbus Crew that would make him “the 5th highest paid defender in the MLS.”
Austrian international Emanuel Pogatetz signed for the Hammers on 28th January 2013, putting pen to a paper on a loan deal from Vfl Wolfsburg until the end of the season. He made just six appearances in a West Ham shirt despite a £500,ooo loan fee to Wolfsburg. He failed to impress Sam Allardyce and was allowed to left at the end of his loan contract.
