Former West Ham target poised to join Stoke

bonyFormer West Ham target Wilfred Bony  has arrived at Stoke City training ground for a medical ahead of a last-minute loan move to the Potters.

The Ivorian has struggled to make an impact at the Etihad since joining from Swansea for £28 in January 2015. He has been recently  linked with a move to West Ham before his proposed move to China in January but has ClaretandHugh reported yesterday we withdrew our interest when we signed Simone Zaza on loan with an agreement to buy once he plays a set amount of games.

Bony hinted at a possible deadline day move with a  post on twitter.

“It’s a new day and I look forward to a new exciting challenge “
The Manchester City striker is poised to join Stoke for a £2million loan fee with Stoke paying his £120,000 a week wages.

  1. If we can’t grab Bony, I think we should keep Sakho, at least until January. By that time, we will surely know if Sakho has been able to regain some fitness and form, and Ayew will be back by then.

  2. Not that upset with missing out on Bony, but I think we have made a mistake in not grabbing Wiltshire.

  3. Trouble with Wilshire he is good but is injured a lot.We don’t need him joining the rest of our crocks 😉

  4. A fit Wilshere would be an asset but like AC he very rarely plays more than half a season, then you factor in his disciplinary record, lack of fitness and lifestyle and it is a long shot in terms of an investment, Bony would be good cover for AC but we have a lot of strikers now and without moving Valencia and Sakho it is hard to think the numbers would add up isn’t it ?

  5. If you play Wilshere you would have to drop Payet,Lanzini,
Kouyate Antonio Feggolui Ayew one of these as he would no be playing in defence or CF my personal opinion is he is not as good as these players,he also is injured most of the season,we need to put players in the squad that will benefit the side,
We only need defenders now and good ones, not Richards
