Pablo Fornals was a much loved player at West Ham who many of us believed would spend the rest of his career at the club. And in an interview he has explained he could never see himself playing for any other English club.

Full credit to him for example that unlike many who are coming to end of their contracts he didn’t make a fuss, simply signed for another year in order for the club to make money out of a transfer.
How many are there around like that? Not many for sure and in an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, the midfielder has been explaining his love of the Hammers.
He has also detailed the last few hours when it looked very much as though the deal for him to join Real Betis had fallen through.
He had been pictured at the match looking very anxious indeed and when things had appeared to have collapsed Betis quickly made the strongest possible complaint before the deal was eventually given permission to be completed.
In his interview with Marca, Pablo has explained his feeling in general about that and the club he loves – West Ham.
He said: “We had three days of ups and downs, moments when it seemed that I was there, others when it seemed that I was never going to arrive.
The last few hours were very stressful because I had just said goodbye to my former teammates and when I spoke to my agent it seemed like everything was done, but no, what was missing was what used to be the fax and now the little match programme and it didn’t arrive.
That day neither my family nor the Bética family slept because we couldn’t, but the next day, when it seemed that everything was going to be sorted out, it was a relief.
I identified so much with West Ham and I was so happy with my time there that I couldn’t see myself playing for any other team in England other than West Ham.
