Fornals may get winter move

Former Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is tonight being reported as wanting to be reunited with Pablo Fornals at Real Betis.

Pellegrini brought the 27 year old to the club in 2019 for £25 million and remains very keen on the attacking midfielder.

Pablo signed another 12 month deal at West Ham a couple of months back with the board wanting to get a reasonable price for him either this winter or in the summer.

Now it appears that Pellegrini is keen to take him back to Spain at Betis although he is expected to run into competition from Sevilla who were early favourites to get the attacking midfielder.

Pellegrini though has to move one of his players according to Diario de Sevilla if he is to make it happen before transfer deadline day and that could be Luiz Henrique, who’s linked with a move to Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig.

Fornals is a popular player among the fans but with the midfield now including top players he has no chance of regular football at the London Stadium.

He has now made 152 appearances for us and scored 16 goals but with the likes of Paqueta, Kudus, Soucek and Ward-Prowse now available, along with the imminent loan arrival of Kalvin Phillips, a move has to be on the cards.
