Pablo Fornals was left in a giddy mood after scoring his first ever goal for Spain over the international break!
The attacking midfielder played in the clash with Kosovo, in a vital World Cup qualifier.
Fornals started on the left hand-side of the attack, alongside striker Alvaro Morata and winger Ferran Torres.
And the Iron opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, giving Spain a major boost in their bid to qualify automatically for the 2022 competition.
They are now top of their qualifying group, although Sweden are only four points back and have two games in hand on La Roja.
Still, Fornals was thrilled with the moment and believes that his family will be equally as delighted with his performance.
Speaking after the game, as quoted by AS, the Hammers star said: “I’m very happy. I could not have imagined such a good debut even as a child. My first game with the starting team and on top of that, scoring a goal.”
Asked about his family, he added: “If I’m happy, imagine them. I know they must feel immense joy.”
Spain have two qualifiers left, against Greece and Sweden, as they have been drawn into a tough group that also includes Kosovo and Georgia.
