Frankfurt rotate ahead of Hammers clash

Eintracht Frankfurt made a number of changes as Eintracht Frankfurt warmed up for their clash with West Ham by losing to Bayer Leverkusen on Monday.

The Bundesliga side were beaten 2-0, with Paulinho and Patrik Schick scoring the decisive goals.

Oliver Glasner made a number of changes to his starting XI, resting key stars Djibril Sow, Daichi Kamada, Almany Toure and Rafael Borre.

Kamada, of course, scored the winning goal as Frankfurt beat the Irons 2-1 in the first leg at the London Stadium.

The Hammers will have had an extra day’s rest after losing to Arsenal on Sunday, going into the vital second-leg game on Thursday.

David Moyes’ side know that they will need to score in Germany to have any chance of reaching the final.

A 1-0 win for the Irons in 90 minutes would force extra-time and potentially penalties after the away goal rule was abolished, so the Hammers know exactly what they need to do on Thursday evening.
