Hammers legend Frank McAvennie has urged the Irons to show us more of the same against Liverpool this evening.

‘Supermac’ was delighted with the performance against Hull and is keeping his fingers crossed that the new style continues tonight and on into the season.

He told ClaretandHugh: “It was a really good display against Hull and we all want more of the same.

“The Hammers attacked well and it was really encouraging – now we all want more of the same.

“I was impressed and I think if the team continue like that there will be some real entertainment in the game against Liverpool and over the rest of the campaign.

“Valencia scored a great goal and there was plenty to admire. It was a real change of approach and thoroughly enjoyable.”
