Fred remembered at Bramall Lane

An 87-year-old West Ham supporter who travelled home and away was remembered at Bramall Lane last night in a touching tribute.

His ticket which was purchased before he passed away and was left empty decorated with West Ham shirts, hats and scarves.

Earlier this week feelow Hammer John Ratomski announcedSad to advise the recent passing of 87 year old Hammers fan Fred Wickert. Travelled to all home & away games from Lincs. He would have been going to this Friday’s game. Anyone going is asked to place a shirt/scarf etc at BL2, row C, seat 81. RIP F”

    Iā€™m sure I was sat next to Fred at Everton away this season.. Never mentioned his name that I can remember but said he travelled from Lincoln and he was 87. We were talking on and off during the whole game. Mainly how bad we were playing! RIP Fred. Sad news..
