Fredericks update

Ryan Fredericks has suffered a thigh injury although the results of the scan are not yet known.

The Hammers right back left the action – clearly gutted – at Old Trafford last night after just 15 minutes having  set up a magnificent assist for what turned out to be Manu Lanzini’s winner.

Fredericks has had no luck with injuries at all and his withdrawal meant that Vladi Coufal was again called into action when clearly in need of a rest – not that anyone would have noticed from his level of performance which was excellent.

A Hammers insider revealed that Fredericks had suffered a thigh injury and that the club was hoping to get the results of the scan later today (Thursday) or tomorrow.

It really was a shame for the player who had looked in magnificent form during his time on the pitch and doing all he could to achieve what appears to be the impossible by challenging Vladi for a Premier League place.
