Negotiations with Eli Junior Kroupi have stalled with both player and his agent believing they can secure a bigger move in the summer.

This is quite a surprise given the player is earning £7,100 a week, and the Hammers proposal is significantly more.

Guardian journalist, Jacob Steinberg, has reported that the striker is not pushing for a transfer. Hammers ITK ExWHUEmployee has also reported that West Ham could return in the summer with a new offer for the striker who is currently impressing in Ligue 2.
The French strikers contract ends in June 2026, and FC Lorient will be keen to conclude a deal before he becomes a free agent.
This is a set back, as talks with his club had been progressing well, and West Ham had hoped an agreement could be concluded yesterday.
The Hammers had offered a £35m package, with £15m paid up front.
Agents, Evolution Sport Conseil allegedly have Eli Junior Kroupi as their only client.
As things stand West Ham will head into deadline day and the Chelsea fixture without a conclusion, yet are trying to work on a resolution. This transfer could go down to the wire.

I have been a season ticket holder since the late eighties, so experienced the highs and lows of being a West Ham supporter. I previously wrote for OLAS and have contributed to a number of football publications in the past.

The agent has obviously been tapped up. Interest from clubs looking to buy him in the summer window.

What an intriguing signing. I wonder who scouted the kid, is this a Macaulay target or maybe a combined effort

    Very steidten like profile

If they believe he is the real deal they should offer him the money, especially of they get Andy Irving, Rodriguez as well as Ings off the books.

The result of making so many bad decisions and taking our progress back as a club. Now sitting bottom half of the table, we’re not the proposition we could’ve been.

If I was a player and I didn’t know loads abiut us, I’d look at where we finished last 2 seasons and just think we’re a bottom half club.

Well done west ham board 👏🏻

Best avoided, player and agent clearly think he can go straight to a Champion League club and earn big bucks. Similar scenario to Scamacca looks great on paper but change of culture, over ambition and disappointment of perceived lack of success breeds discontent and he would be unsettled and off after a season. Great looking for potential and to develop player’s like Cummings, Ferguson but overseas players come at a risk Lazao, Guilherme to name but two.

35m for a guy in Ligue 2? What?! That can’t be the right number? That’s Guillerme-level overspending!

its £15 million down plus ‘extras’ once he’s made ca ertain number of appearances and scored certain number of goals.
