Fresh Scottish interest in Hammer

West Bromwich Albion would love to sign Grady Diangana on a permanent deal but the £20 million-rated West Ham winger also has admirers at Celtic, according to The Sun (13 July, page 47).

Should either club submit a bid around that level it would smash either club’s transfer record.

David Moyes is not short of wingers but Grady’s loan to the Baggies could convince the manager that the youngster is worthy of a regular first-team start next season.

West Ham would be reluctant to let one of their Academy stars go but a big bid could persuade them with next to nothing in the summer transfer budget.

The transfer market is likely to be suppressed this summer so it would surprise if West Brom or Celtic could afford a £20m player but the Hammers are not prepared to sell any opf their prized assets on the cheap and will hope Grady is prepared to stick around and compete for a first-team place.

  1. How about keep Grady and let Yarmo go?

  2. Why would we even consider selling him after a good season with west Brom and hes not even had a go with us …would be stupid business…even for 20 million…mind you It wouldn’t surprise me knowing us

  3. Grady is a player we need to keep he is young and enthusiastic the type of player that Moyes likes he proved before we went to the Baggies that he can cut it in the PL offers more to the team than Anderson and Haller etc. We are not going to have too much to spend in this window so why get rid of him it will be like having a new player when he comes back.
