Fulham 0-1 West Ham
Hermansen:8 Forced into action on 46 mins and saved well with his foot to keep the game at 0-0 going into the break. Made another amazing save on 87 mins. Didn’t have loads to do but it was important.
Wan Bissaka:7 Made some decent defensive headers at the back post which is usually and area of weakness for AWB. Got forward on numerous occasions.
Disasi:8 Incredibly sloppy passing saw him hand Fulham the ball twice within a minute resulting in decent Cottagers attacks. That said, some of his defending and the timing of his tackles was nothing short of sensational.
Todibo:7 Into the team ahead of Dino and started at right CB and looked immediately up to the pace of the game. Looked like he’d been playing with Disasi for years.
Diouf:6 Improving as a defender but some of his passing can be ropey at times. Some impressive reading of the game and winning his fair share of 50/50’s
Fernandes:7 Very harshly given a yellow card for a foul on Iwobi shortly after the Fulham man had handled the ball in the area which VAR bizarrely ruled out. The decision prompted a series very odd decisions from the referee who clearly gave the home team favourable officiating. Never stopped trying to drive West Ham forward.
Soucek:7 Brilliant clearance on 38 mins stopped a certain Fulham goal. Forced a save following a good Bowen corner. Really committed display.
Bowen:5 Continued the habit of over dribbling and not releasing the ball which saw Bowen squander two decent attacks by cheaply giving the ball away. Wild shot on the 30 min mark was miles away. Played his part as he hassled Leno into an error and fed Summerville who still had much to do.
Summerville:8 Not able to get him involved in the game enough in the first half. Brilliant cross saw Wilson miss from three yards. Put the Hammers ahead after 65 mins as he latched onto a Fulham error and jinked & twisted before curling the ball into an empty net from distance with his left foot.
Castellanos:5 Set Bowen up well for a snapshot which forced a corner. Very impressed as he chased back to block a King cross at left back. Wasted an excellent opportunity when West Ham were in an excellent position.
Wilson:2 Offered practically nothing from open play and rarely in dangerous positions at the start of the game. Fair play to Nuno for his attacking intent but Wilson’s lack of pressing was evident. Pretty much anonymous which makes it all the more frustrating why another forward wasn’t signed in January. Got his chance after 43 minutes following good work from Wan Bissaka but hoofed it well over. His miss from Summerville’s excellent cross summed up his game.
Substitutes
Magassa:7 On for Wilson after 60 mins and made a huge difference.
Traore: 87th min sub for Taty.
Mavropanos: On forTodibo
Kante: 91st min swap for Fernandes

Bowen a 5, do you really watch the game ? He was all over the pitch, excellent corners but for his quick intervention NO GOAL. Summerville,Wilson,Taty,Fernandes all as guilty of wasted opportunties.Dissai miss placed 5 passes in a row plus several long balls to no one.
Lay of Bowen.
Fernandes needs to stop these early bookings. We need him at 100%
We do need some of the youth on the bench,Magassa great but Traroe was terrible when he came on.
Hermie showed he is a good shot stopper, crucial saves.
Bowen gets butchered by the opposition every game. He is suffering from expectations of excellence when he is only delivering very good. Suspect he is crook and needs a rest.
Gonzo the ref tried hard to get Fulham over the line. Awarded a penalty instead of a WHU free kick. Bowen made a full determined cross field run before being butchered on the sideline nothing a big fat zip, and then to add over 3 extras when at most another minute could of been fair. He need his Championship gig back, we don’t want the risk of him again, not this year.
Manager switched to 4-3-3 at exactly the right moment, taking Wilson off and bringing Magassa on. Great starting 4 up front but Fulham were going to end up running the midfield and the game.
About Wilson I would add absolutely zero interplay with Taty – it is not meant to be two no 9s, but a combination playing off each other. Hope Taty not injured and Pablo comes back! Pity about Wilson, he really helped the team out before.
Magassa was brilliant.
