Fulham sign ex Hammer Nortveidt

Struggling Fulham have moved in on former Hammer  defender/midfielder Havard Nordtveit as they continue their battle at the bottom of the PL.

It hardly seem the sort of move required to keep the south west Londoners up given the player’s record with us where he made just 16 appearances in 2016/17 before moving on to 1899 Hoffenheim.

However, Claydio Ranieri has made a late swoop for the Norwegian defensive midfielder as he looks to stage a great escape.

It could mean that one of Nortveidt’s first games in Fulham colours will be against us later in February when the Cottagers arrive at the London Stadium.

He will be looking for some revenge over the club that bought him on a five year contract but decided to get rid within a season.

Since his arrival at Hoffenheim he has made just 23 appearances in the first team but Ranieri obviously sees something that he likes as he makes a last rattle of the dice.

  1. I thought Nordveidt was a decent player left exposed by Bilic’s complete lack of management and laziness that pervaded our squad, when you think of Feghouli also, I wonder what those players could have done with a decent manager.
