Fulham v West Ham United | Nuno’s starting eleven – two changes for ‘must win’

As Alex Ferguson used to call it, for West Ham fans it is definitely squeaky bum time tonight as the club travel to Craven Cottage for a must win fixture against Marco Silva’s Fulham side who are flying high in the Premier League with 40 points and their own European Football aspirations alive and well.

Portuguese manager takes on Portuguese manager – with the two having had vastly different seasons: Nuno’s West Ham hope to drag themselves out of the relegation zone tonight with an unlikely win seeing them – probably – overtaking Nottingham Forest, who travel to Manchester City for one of the two toughest encounters in the Premier League calendar.

West Ham will be without striker Pablo who is still recovering from a calf injury: Espírito Santo has to decide who to select in goal and whether Callum Wilson gets a start against one of his more favoured opponents.

The team news is that West Ham make two changes: Magassa and Mavropanos are ‘out’ as West Ham go full – on attack with two central strikers.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Mads Hermansen is having a worldie. Great saves – nobody could do any better.

    Whoopee. COYI

Taty needs to be in Pablo’s spot linking midfield & attack. He is more than capable and calm too.

If Fernandes has a bad game, Bowen little impact, bad corners & throw-ins, Wilson shoots over the bar then we’ll be handing the game to Fulham on a platter, while they look unconvincing.

Good line up not certain about the keeper but here’s hoping for a 2.0 win…………. And like my dreams

  • Darkhorse says:

I hope Nuno hasn’t made a mistake keeping Hermansen between the sticks.

    FUL 1-3 WHU

Looks good to me, there’s no winner on form as forms are virtually identical. I think a win is a tough ask but a draw isn’t, so I’m going with 1-1 and a Forest defeat further closes the gap….
